with the upcoming Decemberists show, I grow nostalgic of past Decemberists moments. I miss not having to travel to Chicago to see them in a blizzard. Being a superfan was so much easier when I lived in Portland. :p

edit: to clarify, after a long-running joke that Colin likes to glare at me at shows, he agreed to relive the moment on photograph. The first pic we took he was all up in my face pretty much touching noses with me, and then he was all like “maybe we should do it again, only we should cheat the camera a bit” and turned his head outward a little. It turned out a lot better like that. Yay, story.
